Description

Quotes:

I am a Canis latrans ochropus, or a California Valley coyote. Thanks for asking.

You think I do this on a whim? You clearly don’t understand me at all. I don’t want to punish everyone. I know that there is good out there, but I have to see it for myself.

Do you have any idea how easy it would have been for me to make robots with the intent to kill? How simple it would be to equip them with deadly weapons or even make them self-destruct to level a whole town? You see, I don’t have the intent to kill. I am no monster.

Do you know how much force it takes to shatter bone? How sharp an object has to be to slice through flesh? I had taken these into consideration when I made my combat robots.

I don’t trust the legal system. If it was tight, then there wouldn’t be hellhole towns like Shade Stone. I know the transition of switching from living to robotic law enforcement might get... a little messy… but in the end, you will thank me. You will all thank me.

Purpose, that is what drives me. I know that what I am doing might get me killed, but I don’t care as long as I make a difference. I have already been in the depths of despair and I came to accept my lowly existence.

Ten years. Ten years I planned on taking over Shade Stone. I took over it in little less than a week. I finally got what I wanted. Vengeance for what that town took away from me and the multiple lives ruined within its walls. I wanted to ensure that no other person would suffer the way I have. Then... YOU had to ruin that.

Fausians fear power. Respect it. Its ingrained in our nature. However... Scavenge's always been barred from positions of power. Paranoid fools. I am NOT Kushear!

I should have known that I shouldn’t put my trust in others. My dear. You aren’t the only one with a connection to the spirit realm. (holds a Cursed Gem of Morbid) I’m sorry, mother...

If you want monsters... You will have monsters!

I like this art and its overall presentation. Starting with some of the presentation styled elements, I very much like the font and colours applied to the Quelik Chronicles, and the underlying Morbid Gems work well, particularly its darker red and the sharp edges, especially for the M and the ending S. The black and white colours behind the title font contrasts well with it and adds to the lettering. Sometimes too much can be going on, but I feel it all fits together very nicely.

Onto your character, I think its got a very good pose. For the raised heels, tensing of the hands, flashing of the claws, and the teeth showing make the character seem very conniving and dangerous as well as aggressive. The overarching belt strap and jacket blowing over make me feel like there's a slight wind and adds to the realism of your piece. Its overall attire looks tremendous and the colours all go well together, particularly the white and red. The gray gloves, undershirt, trousers, and boots all blend well with the rest. The additions of red to items of attire add further detail to the piece that incorporates other elements well. I love the shine on the gloves and the boots as it makes them seem more metallic and again makes the character seem like it's in a more realistic environment, despite there being no environmental background. The gray symbol on the belt and the silver hole pieces add further depth to your creature, and I feel the belt is very important and would make the character not seem as badass without it. The detail added to the clothing such as the zip, differing inside colours, and light snitching just add more impression and real life feeling to the piece. So great job on that front. Its face looks great. The teeth and nose look incredibly detailed. The face's different colours contrast each other well and the strips of fur jutting out works well. I like the eyes for the solid red colour and how it looks when compared to the black and white around it. The headpiece looks fantastic, and the circles on the eyepiece looks very technically sound. The light shine coming off again adds to the realism and the shine off the yellow looks awesome. Also, the shading makes the face look more realistic and overall it contrasts well with the clothing. Finally, the character's jutted and sharp tail edges add to its intimidating look, and I love the tail's texture and its 3D feel. All the colours on it seem like they merge brilliantly as well.

The anatomy is very good. The body and its limbs look very realistic. Although, I'm not entirely sure how it could stand on the front of its feet for that long.

Overall, strong use of colours, fantastic font, and it all fits well with the pale, more basic dark pink colour backing theme. Now I'll briefly explain my rating choices, I'd rate it 3.5 for vision as the pose and overall scene are fairly generic but do work well and have some subtle well done areas. As I believe it's an original character and series, I'll rate it 4.5 for originality but because I can see some similarities to Sonic I'll lower it a slight bit. Although, it could easily be different if I didn't know about Sonic. Technique is of a very standard, and I've rated it 4*, particularly for the textures and light shine. For impact, I'm going to say 3*, as even though I've enjoyed examining/writing the critique on it, I'm not sure it'll stay in my mind, and I'm unable to connote that there's a strong hidden meaning behind it.

Awesome job!
