Status Update!

10 min read

[Hello everyone!]

Update: I am working on something that would help with complexity based on an old poll I had... years ago. When not working on commissions, things to sell, and gifts, I have been working on that, which is...

A Cat version of this. It have been so long and with many more character designs I can do, it would be rather interesting. If you can suggest a style from a show for me to emulate, then let me know. So far I have,

  • My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
  • Sonic the Hedgehog.
  • Star Fox.
  • Were-.
  • Courage the Cowardly Dog.
  • Tom and Jerry.
  • Quelik Chronicles - My own.

Modifications

  • Muscle monstrous
  • Pinup
  • Centaur
  • Eldritch
  • Chibi

If you have any styles, let me know.

-----------------------------
Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful works that you blessed me to produce for commissions and for the adopts given loving homes. With your lovely contributions, we were able to raise $697.31! This that I have been doing was to help my brother fix up our childhood home. That means a lot of cleaning up and a lot of things to fix up. Because of the former, it's really difficult to get quotes for the latter, but we estimate that we would need around $15.000 or more since it is a rather old house.

One of the expenses that I did not consider when I made my previous status was the amount of paper to recycle and especially shred. We had papers from our parents dating back to 1970. My brother did not want us to shred 229 pounds of paper of the tons of paper we found all over the house, so we had to get it taken care of by OfficeMax, which charges 99 cents a pound. This may be chump change for someone with a more regular job, but my brother and I do not have steady work, mostly working for commission whenever we can get it, which is not frequent. So, what I have been doing on dA lately have been a big help thanks to you. All the proceeds from here goes to the house while my bro handles the important bills.

I have $470.60 left and we do not have quotes for the basement bathroom, garage door, insulation, windows, large tree stump removal yet due to wanting to wait until the house is cleaned up until that, which is taking the most of our time. I will still work on commissions and sell things during this time, and if you want to support me for the other works I do, I do have my Ko-Fi page. Your contributions means the world to me, and if I can still earn something while working on my own art, then I can work more on Ask Wake and the other projects that have been neglected. Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love making people happy through commissions and the designs I make to sell, but I don't want to only do that with the spare free time I do have. Who knows, maybe you would like the other projects I do as well. :aww:

Ko-Fi is open!

[An Unexpected Turn of Events!]

A human face!

Yeah, I know this isn't surprising to some, but I do not draw humanoids that often. The reason for that is mostly the worry what I do may fall into the uncanny valley or dealing with... topics that shouldn't be such an issue about being humans that come up. Lately in the comic book industry, for instance, the color of your skin or gender or where you are from is more important than, y'know, the whole package of being a good character. I have been trying to get out of the mindset that if I don't draw a human "just right" would turn people away, so I mostly stick with anthropomorphic characters so the "character" is more highlighted than the issues if I mess up and get a human or humaniod wrong. A lot of research is necessary in order to depict a human character right without tripping into red flags, like having two black-coded characters combining together into a beastly fusion for instance. I'm aware that coding can affect an anthropomorphic character as well, but not as much as like a humanoid alien or this dragon elf centaur. However, I'm willing to get out of my comfort zone and try to draw humanoid and human characters once in a while, and if I get criticized for it, I will listen to those that are constructive about it as I want to learn to make a variety of characters, human and otherwise. The Auction is still open if you are up for it, and if any of you want to commission a human or humanoid character, I'm open for that.

Here is my Commission Page for more info:

[Hello everyone!]

Thank you all for the points. Thanks to you, we were able to get the Core Membership! However, this commission train isn't stopping, just switching gears. Now, while points would be nice, I cannot use them in order to repair our house. The house I live at with my brother is in need of a plumber to take care of the basement bathroom leaks up through the floor as the toilet and tub drains; a contractor to replace the garage door, the insulation, the windows, and fence; and a tree guy to take out a large tree stump, which together is easily thousands of dollars. So, for orders above $10, if you can pay through Paypal, it would be wonderful. If not, I can use the points for next year's Core Membership. :aww:

Update! I recognize that there are those who cannot pay through Paypal and can only do so with points. However, the reasons why I haven't used the Commission Widget, the only way to convert Points to Paypal money, are because I dislike making people pay more than what my art is worth and my prices can vary depending on how complex the character is. Setting up a fixed widget where people have to pay 20% more points in order for me to get the real world value of the points just tick me off. This is on top of seeing how getting points on dA feels like scummy mobile games where if you want to get a $10 thing, you would need to put in more than $10 in order to get it because $10 being converted into points only yield 800 :points:, while getting the $10 thing, you would need to shell out 1000 :points:. In order to get 1000 :points:, you would need to get the $10 and the $5 packages of points to get 1280 :points: in order to afford the $10 thing. You cannot get the $3.50 back. This is not getting into if you use the upper tier to get the points needed, which is worth $25 to get you 2000 points. Bye $12.50. Ugh. I understand there are those who want to use points instead of cash, but I am on to you dA.

So, to make it sting less using the widget, since I would have to in order to get actually be paid repair money through points, people who pay through the widget would get 20% of their points back from the points donated through other means if they want it. I have so far 2,792 points that I cannot use for things off of dA, so giving it back to the clients if they request it would bring the price back down to what they are supposed to be instead of the inflated prices needed in order for me to see the money. For example, a Flat Color is worth $11.00, which is 880 points. On the Widget, I would have to set it to 1100 points in order to get the $11.00 since dA takes a 20% cut. However, after I withdraw my $11.00 into Paypal and if I have enough donated points I personally cannot use, if the client wants 20% of their points back to bring the price back to 880, I would give them 220 points in their donation pool or commission box if they want. That way they can use the points for something else instead of just having the 220 points gone due to dA wanting a slice of the pie.

As for the Fixed Prices and my more flexible ones: How I make my quote is to look at the character and see how much detail I would need to draw, and for backgrounds of actual settings instead of abstracts, it would be a similar process. More detail = higher price. However, to offset the cost, there is my discounts that would be for how much I would actually need to draw the character, like a head shot verses a full body or if the character is chibi or not. What I would do is make my quote, and then make the widget with the amount back if requested. The Widget would change depending on the client's needs. However, I will not use the widget for anything less than $10 since Paypal would likely eat it with their own cuts of the money pie. I can always use the points as points.

Let's see if this works.

Update 2. Okay. I did a test with my friend and it seems like Paypal eats into a dollar as I thought. To offset this, if you want to support me but want an icon, which is the least expensive item, they are worth $1.50 and a shaded one is $2.00. Additional expressions for icons are still $0.50 but having an idea of how many icons you would want ahead of time so it can be all put together is preferred.

On other topics, I have not been working on some things as I have been focused on being paid than doing art. So, I will be putting that on the list. I will be seeing about getting to those and hopefully put up some of my own art. I am getting a Patreon soon to help with the finances so Commissions isn't the only form of help. Wish me luck.

Update 3. I got a Ko-fi! I will be still getting a Patreon and Redbubble soon, but after researching, I decided to get this one as well. I still need to make cover images for the other sites and my Twitter, and so far the Ko-fi seems to be the only one that can work without being fully complete. I still need to get quotes for the repairs for the goals, but I estimate from what my brother told me is that it could easily be $15,000 all together. So far I have only gotten one percent of that through commissions. Wish me luck.

[Terms of Conditions]

______________________________________________________________________________

  • Please be patient. Depending on the complexity of the piece and shading method, it might take a while to produce. However, if I don't get to you in a month, be sure to ask for an update.

  • Prices below are for personal use only. Note me if you want to use it for commercial purposes, especially for logos.

  • For Point Commissions, I would greatly appreciate if we can make use of the Commission Widget. It would allow the Points to be converted into Paypal money to be later use. The prices for that would be the same as the $ amount, but I will give back the 20% of points to make it the proper point price. For example, a cell shade for the commission widget would go for 2000 points, but I will give back 400 points so you only actually paid 1600 points to get it and in 14 days, I would get $20 through deviantART's Paypal for what I need. I do not have much use for points, especially for the real world, so I would be happy to give back some so you can get more out of it.

  • During the work process, three major edits such as a background or pose change are free but after that edits would be 20% of the price each.

  • For orders that are below $30.00, the payment would be up front once discussed out. However, for $30.00 and above, half the payment would be upfront once the project is talked through and the other half would be upon after the sketch phase.

  • Characters gotten from me from an adopt would come with a 20% discount off of your first commission with them. After that, it would be full price.

  • For 3D model edited and fan character commissions, models that are obtained from Model Resource or elsewhere would need to be processed in order to have them in working order for the commission. Processing includes turning Triangles to Quads, fixing up the Armature (the rig or skeleton that allows the model to move), placing seams for the UV Map, making sure the UV map is alright, placing the textures in the correct material and texture slots. This could go up to 7 hours or more depending on the state of the model I get, so there will be a processing service charge, which is around $35. This would be on top of the Edit or Fan Character price. However! This Processing Fee can be divided among those who want the same model. For Example, Let's say that two people want commissions made from a Rouge model. As I don't have a Blender file of her, doing all the processing would be costing $5 an hour it takes to process it. However, instead of paying like... $40 at the end of the processing phase, it would be split between the two people, having it be $20 processing fee. More people, the lower this price is since I would only need to do processing once per new model. Once the model is in stock, then there wouldn't be a processing fee.
    • Characters that are in stock.
      • Sonic
      • Tails
      • Knuckles
      • Amy
      • Metal Sonic
      • Shadow
      • Dr. Eggman
      • Infinite

    • The Undertale Characters in my gallery are available as well, but a character that I haven't made yet would have to be cobbled together or made from scratch, so it would be the price of making the model and the edit you want. However, like the Processing Fee, this can be divided among those who want, let's say, Muffet from the Outertale Alternate Universe and another wants the Underswap Alternate Universe. She may be around $60 to $100 to make, but that price can be offset by how many people want her. (I will release my base models at a later date for people to enjoy.)

    • I do plan on adding more characters in stock, but this can be extra motivation in order to do so.

  • For 3D modeling, I go by $10 per hour. Because of this, prices can vary from $10 to $150 depending on how long it takes to make the model, rig it, unwrap it, and texture it. A lot of hours goes into the work and thankfully, despite the steep price that models can go for, the re-usability and the ability to use parts for other models will help greatly in keeping the price down. Plus, if the final price is too much for you, I am prepared to negotiate. Below, I included the lowest I am willing to go if we do. This does not include the processing charge which has its own way to be lowered.

    • Note though, if I have to match the textures of a pre-existing model or a style, it would take more time than if I do a custom texture. For example, the textures for the color (diffusion map) of my Quelik Chronicles and Undertale renders are flat instead of shaded, the normal maps are the result of me sculpting the detail on, and the bump maps, if they have that, are painted on and doesn't have extra shadows either. Some have specular maps while others just use the diffusion map for shine.

    • After the model is complete, I will send the Blender File with its texture folder in a zip file to the client. They own the model and can do what they wish.

  • Be sure to note me with the filled out Commission Form. In Notes, I discuss payment, show previews, and get further details of what you would want. I save the notes for future reference.

Letting Go.

3 min read
Hello.

I have been doing some thinking and I realized that I worked on a ton of art pieces without them going anywhere for one reason or another. The main reason? I simply loose interest. It hurts to admit, but I have Asperger’s Syndrome. It is a social development neurological disorder that is on the Autism Spectrum.

One of the symptoms is an intense interest of something. These interests are more so lifelong passions: the purpose in life. Things that you, well, want to do very intensely. Sometimes, however, these passions can shift on you in months or years’ time. The next thing you know it, you aren’t interested in the topic in the slightest and you can’t control it. I unfortunately am one of the people that have my passion shift on me. A lot of the time, it happen mid project. Just imagine writing a story. You really like doing that story so you devote a lot of your time on it. Then, you get the idea for an art piece. The feeling of wanting to make that art piece is so great that it zaps the passion you have for that story. Now that you don’t have the passion for that story, it stresses you out to work on it to the point that you avoid it as much as possible. The story ends up shelved to possibly never be worked on again. It is why I have so many projects in rotation and or shelved. I’m afraid that I have wasted my time working on things that I won’t be able to go back to.

Since I am turning another year older and soon will be approaching 30, I think it is time to let go of some projects. I want the things that I have been working on to be known in the state that they are. It is time to be realistic here. I am only one person, and if I don't have passion to work on projects myself or to garner enough help, they won't be going anywhere. Lucky for you, this means that there will be a lot more content in between regular uploads, things that would be considered spoilers would be out in the open, and even adoptable characters and content for your own projects. It would make me happy to just see the ideas I have made have a home even if it isn't mine.

Shelved Projects:
  • Sonic Wave
  • Digimon Element
  • Life Stones Mobius
  • Sonic.exe: Darkest Struggles
  • Alt-Mobius

On going projects
  • Quelik Chronicles
  • Linktale - Current Winner.

Hi everyone.

Wow, it has been a long time I posted a journal, hasn't it, eh? ^^;

I know that it has been awhile that I have posted any pictures here, aside from these recently...

... but I have been working behind the scenes on a new project called "Life Stones Mobius". What makes this project different from "Morbid Gems" and "Sonic Wave" is that I will not be doing this project alone. This idea came about when I met LeydenTheWolf777 in June of last year. He made up the concept of Mobian-like created beings called "Aetheric Beasts" for the Sonic Universe, and... let's just say it needed a little work.

LeydenTheWolf777 first came to me for information about the Omni form I made for Sonic so he could borrow the concept for an RP that he was working on with his friend scarnic14. As I was talking to him, I felt pretty happy. He's a pretty good listener. I was able to spit out concept after concept for "Sonic Wave" and he always had a good question, comment, and even funny reaction to the things that I told him. When he was coming up with 3 forms for his Omni form, I noticed that they were borrowed concepts from DBZ and Nobody's Harmonic Sonic.

I told him, "I know of Hamonic Sonic. I have been to that page more than once, even before I met you.

:plotting: I think that we can make an original armor form that would be Kaira's and Kaira's alone... with its own power source. We can be creative with it since Excalibur Sonic's power sources were mystical swords.
<<
>>
:whisper: I may have a few power sources laying around that I am not using... but you could. I even have sprites of them. The Crystals of Light and the Spectrum Crystal aren't the only power sources I made up."
Thus the Life Stones were dusted off from my ol' scraped ideas pile.

I grew a little curious of the Cyberwolf main character he mentioned, so I took a look in his gallery. When I looked at his bio, my bro and I had a good chuckle. The bio was that basically Kaira the Cyberwolf was made by the Luminmoths from "Metroid Prime 2" on the Planet Aether to be a great protector of the universe, and he was sent to the planetary system where the "Star Wars" was taken place to train with the Jedi and witness Order 66 being carried out. I also learned that the RPs had things from "Transformers", "Mortal Kombat", "Powerpuff Girls", "Kingdom Hearts" and "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic"... for a "Sonic" character. ^^; Yeah... a real Massive Multiplayer Crossover.

I told him, "Well... Maybe we can work on Kaira. I read the bio and... well... it may needs some work. A few things made me scratch my head. With the time I have designing characters, I know a few tricks that may help. I hope that you can hear me out."

"Sure thing. It's best you do draw Kaira in his normal form before his Omni version so you have the idea. And yeah I can hear you out. Plus I'm a patient man, 'cuz I have a lot of time on my hands on things, even if I don't have stuff to do around the house. :3 So what's your plan?" he replied.

I asked LeydenTheWolf777 questions that helped centralize the ideas. I was always a fan ofTV Tropes, so the questions I asked broke down the themes of the series that he liked into new ideas for this project. While talking, the ideas of Aether's Light, Dark Aetheric Beast, the Order of Aether emerged, the Swordsmen of Harmony. Aether's Light is a stabilizer for Kaira to prevent the Aetheric Beast from turning into Dark Kaira, a destructive form that takes over his mind. We tried to figure out where this story would take place with Kaira and his creators, the Order of Aether, so we went with Blaze's World, "since Sonic Team shown that Mobians (Sonic characters) have natural elemental abilities there." The 7 Swordsmen of Harmony, or the "Heroes of Harmony", would replace the Jedi for Kaira's training.

A prototype premise went:
In a faraway land in the world of the Sol Emeralds, there were the Order of Aether. This group of powerful Mobians was practitioners of the union of science and the mystic arts. With their knowledge and power, they created two of their greatest creations: an artifact called Aether's Light and its guardian, Kaira the Cyberwolf.

After we got that, I asked him questions to start world building and we came up with Cloud Sanctuary, a dimensional equivalent to Angel Island. The name came from Sanctuary Fortress and Cloud City, not Sky Sanctuary ^^;. Then, I started to think, the Life Stones had more of a purpose in my old story other than to make a form, so I said, "I think that I should tell a little secret about the Life Stones. What gives them their power are artificial souls of great beasts that correspond to the elements, and with the crystals they can form weapons. However, since I retconned the Life Stones out of existence in my series, each of the stones can combine with Aether's Light to make corresponding weapons."

The Life Stones started to provide a more of a role. Later on, we thought of a different way that the weapons would be called out; after completing trails of the soul to prove that Kaira would handle the power of the Stones wisely, he would call upon the name of the Elemental Spirit Beast, "Thunderbird of the Electric Stone, Lend me your Power!"

During the development process, LeydenTheWolf777 informed me that there wouldn't be just one of them, Kaira, but a race of them. I had a dilemma on my hands. I was only thinking that there was only one, so I made him a central character. How am I going to make a reason why the Order of Aether made more than one Aetheric Beast?

I said, "If you want an original alien design, I can do that. I made up the Faunsians and Planet Quelik. guardianmobius.deviantart.com/…
With a design to call your own, you wouldn't need to play by the rules because you'll be making them. I thought that we were making up full-fledged Sonic characters here, so I was playing by the rules that Sonic Team set up to make him fit. Through the instant that you have characters, places, and event from a per-existing series, that is mostly out the window."

"What do you mean by that? Just wondering. And yes, we're still trying to make Sonic characters. Sorry if this Aetheric Beast thing is messing everything up with the character stuff. ><" he replied.

"I think to clear it up and to help with the situation, I think the term "Aetheric Beast" should be for the beast souls in the Life Stones and the weapons/armor/beast forms would happen when these Aetheric Beasts are released."

""sigh" I'm not offended. I know I'm trying to learn, but the race thing, I was inspired by :iconscarnic14:'s and 's ideas for their races. Not ripping them off, I said inspired. I mean, what you said can work, but now it's starting to get harder and harder to explain this whole thing right. NRGH! I really hate this kind of pressure. >< I'm not mad at you, I just....agh. >< i'm sorry. <8("

"Okay... There is actually a way that a Sonic character could be called an Aetheric Beast. What if that was the name the Order of Aether came up with to call their creations? "Aetheric" could describe who made it and the "Beast" part could be describing that these created beings could draw their power from the Beasts in the Life Stones.

Wake: That... that is actually clever. Kaira the Cyberwolf, you are an Aetheric Beast, but one a race don't make. Could have been more that were created by the Order of Aether?"

"If you put it what way, I think I now have an idea that might work. Hear me out.
What if...the very first Aetheric Beast was created (before Kaira) a very long time ago, and he/she learned that the innocents in the other dimension needed desperate help, so after a few more beasts were created, the first Aetheric Beast took 3 of them with him/her to that dimension to help those innocents. But then those 4, after some time, were able to find a new life on a certain planet, and was very peaceful. So the first Aetheric Beast talked it over with his creators, and seeing things are going well in Blaze's dimension, the Order of Aether probably decided to let them live in that dimension to protect the helpless people of the galaxy there, and the beasts that are in Blaze's world can fulfill their jobs there. And that would be how the Aetheric Beasts became a race in Sonic's dimension. Does that make sense?"

"I think that there shouldn't be a lot of the Aetheric Beasts, because creating artificial life, a.k.a. playing god, would be very taxing for the Order of Aether. Also, having a whole bunch of them pop out of nowhere in Sonic's world would be very suspicious. Just having Blaze and Eggman Nega there with the Sol Emeralds caused a space time distortion, and each and every Aetheric Beast draw their power from the Life Stones, so it'll be like carrying a Sol Emerald everywhere they go, causing space time disturbances everywhere they go. The big threats are covered by Sonic and his friends, so they wouldn't need the Aetheric Beasts help. I suggest thinking smaller, like one Aetheric Beast for each Life Stone that is 11. However, if you insist on making an army of these things, the number could increase to 55 Aetheric Beasts if the Order of Aether used two Stones for each of them, but that's it. Each one of these things is an army on its own. This is what it looks like:

{Fire,Water} {Fire,Air} {Fire,Earth} {Fire,Harmony} {Fire,Metal} {Fire,Electricity} {Fire,Light} {Fire,Dark} {Fire,Life} {Fire,Death} {Water,Air} {Water,Earth} {Water,Harmony} {Water,Metal} {Water,Electricity} {Water,Light} {Water,Dark} {Water,Life} {Water,Death} {Air,Earth} {Air,Harmony} {Air,Metal} {Air,Electricity} {Air,Light} {Air,Dark} {Air,Life} {Air,Death} {Earth,Harmony} {Earth,Metal} {Earth,Electricity} {Earth,Light} {Earth,Dark} {Earth,Life} {Earth,Death} {Harmony,Metal} {Harmony,Electricity} {Harmony,Light} {Harmony,Dark} {Harmony,Life} {Harmony,Death} {Metal,Electricity} {Metal,Light} {Metal,Dark} {Metal,Life} {Metal,Death} {Electricity,Light} {Electricity,Dark} {Electricity,Life} {Electricity,Death} {Light,Dark} {Light,Life} {Light,Death} {Dark,Life} {Dark,Death} {Life,Death}"

Later on, I replaced the Stone of Life and the Harmony Stone with the Nature Stone and the Heart Stone. The list of Elemental Pairs came from just inputting this:
Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Metal, Electric, Nature, Light, Dark, Heart, Death

I was feeling that it would be a bigger project than I thought. To make it work out, I thought:
"Anyway, if this story of yours took place in a version of Mobius (this is what we are calling Sonic's world, and Blaze and Tija have versions of, for now), Kaira would be the big shot hero and the Life Stones are the power sources that set this universe apart. Cloud Sanctuary could be this version's Angel Island, ever looking over the world below for dangers that could crop up."

I revised the premise to accommodate the changes:
In a dimension different from Sonic's, the world of Mobius is governed by great controllers of the elements christened the Life Stones. With these eleven stones, order and peace reigns, but without them chaos and darkness befall the planet. For protection, the great stones reside in mysterious temples on the floating city of Cloud Sanctuary. There, practitioners of the union of science and the mystic arts, who call themselves the Order of Aether, used the power of the stones to create their greatest guardians and warriors: the Aetheric Beasts. Each these life forms were crafted with the power of two stones for an army of 55 warriors. However, not all of these beings were willing comply with their mortal deities. The very action that was supposed to protect them led to the fall of Cloud Sanctuary and the Life Stones to scatter to the reaches of the world. When the elements of life return to the temples of the sky, light return to the land as order reigns...

After we came up with this, LeydenTheWolf777 told me:
"Well, devKenshi-Wolf: said that these were the things that he did not like, what made him frustrated about me:

Super forms that have no real reason or simply do not have a reason to be turned off
Fusions
Bland villains who can ONLY be defeated by your characters
Characters with immense powers
Characters with powers from other series, that are not heavily in your own otherwise.

Those are the things. Cuz Kaira has these forms: Super, Hyper, True Super, SSJ, SSJ2, SSJ3, SSJ4, Dark, Holy, Harmonic (credit for the idea of the form), Aethero, and Luminothian (it's a special form for an Aetheric Beast like Kaira or Xalon, so you know.). What do you think for all that?"

"I see. Let's address this piece by piece.
Kaira would only need two forms, Dark Kaira and Lifeforce Kaira. The reasons why they would need to "turn off" is the former is uncontrollable and highly destructive, while the latter, the Life Stones need to be where they belong, so Kaira wouldn't use them for too long. It would be good if Lifeforce Kaira is actually difficult to achieve. Kaira would need to collect the 11 Life Stones and channel the power using the Aether's Light Diamond. This could risk the Diamond itself, so he wouldn't use that form unless there is no other options. If there is a Kaira and Wake crossover, Kaira could use the Crystals of Light to make Omni Kaira, playing on the yin yang of the two forms.

Does he mean two characters making a form or the fact that Kaira is a Cyberwolf?

What things do you want in a villain? I can provide villains. Mwahahahaaa! *cough* Have other Aetheric Beasts as the villains so they will be on equal footing. Also have some friends like the swordsmen that can help Kaira get out of a jam time to time. A good analogy is the normal human Batman helping Superman.

Focus on a small list of abilities. One I imagine is him having electrical abilities, and he could have combative and practical uses for it. An example of a practical use is charging up a piece of iron to make an electromagnet. Another is being able to control plants, like having vines come down for him to climb on. Also, focus on weaknesses that villains can exploit.

I can provide some characters to flesh out Kaira's world so you wouldn't need the characters from other series. I made way too many characters to manage so I can give you some.

As for that list, dump them. That is way too many to have. Sonic has only six forms, so having 3 possible forms is good enough. Also, sorry to say, dump the previous form Sora, too. "

Since then, 3 forms were added to the list of forms I made, Aetheric Angel, Duality, and Wrath. I'll get into these later. Only Lifeforce and Wrath are Kaira only forms, the Aetheric Angel, Dark, and Duality forms are open to all Aetheric Beasts and maybe some mobians. The concept of the Aetheric Beasts turned from what would make the Mary Sue Litmus Test light up the warning signs to a sound idea.

The final draft is a lot different from what we had in the past. While working on Kaira, we were also working on another character who would serve as Kaira's personal antagonist: Ariak. During concept work on villains, LeydenTheWolf777 told me this:
"I already have an alternative look for him. And maybe we can have his elements be {Dark, Death}, meaning he's the evilest of the Aetheric Beasts that was made in an experiment to counteract Kaira. The experiment then went out of control and absorbed the power of the Dark and Death Stones to become deathly powerful. And I think you can tweek that look a bit too. And his name can be Ariak, that's Kaira in reverse."

"The funny thing is that, currently, the Order of Aether made Ariak, since he is an Aetheric Beast... so... they made Ariak... to defeat Ariak? Paradoxical, aint it? Think that either Ariak isn't a (Dark) Aetheric Beast or there is a greater evil than him that they were preparing for. It doesn't mean that Ariak is a good guy. He can still be the big bad either way, but one is the Order was preparing for, while the other was unforeseen.

I think that is right. As for the evil, it could be an Eldritch Abomination from space or from the darkest depths of hell or Planet Eater. Or a mixture of both. Or a creature that consumes life energy and the Life Stones aren't effected because they have the shells protecting them and the Aetheric Beasts inherent that protection from the Stones... ... :omg: What if Ariak or his creators made a pact with this ultimate evil to delay assembling the Aetheric Beasts for battle, so they will be ill prepared when it comes?! :faint:

I have a scarier thing in mind... If Ariak isn't an Aetheric Beast, he isn't bound by the rules of their creation. What if the defecting member of the Order of Aether stole tiny pieces of each Life Stone sample that was used to create the Aetheric Beasts to use in his creation for Tartarus... A Tartaric Beast, the complete opposite of Kaira and the Aetheric Beasts. :mwahaha: Instead of two elemental powers, he could have all, though a bit weakened to start out with, and he can only call upon 2 at a time, since he has only two arms. Also, since Tartarus could call upon minions, he could give the defecting member all the help he needs to give Ariak more than one signature power. However, only one Tartaric Beast can exist because of all that power. As for why targeting Kaira... he poses as a threat to Tartarus's plans, not because of his power, but his ability to bring the Aetheric Beasts together for something greater than themselves."

Whenever LeydenTheWolf777 and I came up with a concept, I ask the all-important questions: why, how, what, who, when? We put a lot of thought into this project, and then, when I got to Skype, I got to meet Kaira's friends.

Now the group for the project grew. :aww: I would be sharing details of the finalized back story later on.

That would be it for now. ;)
